Man, 18, falls from truck, dies

CEBU, Philippines - An 18-year-old man died on the spot after falling from a truck at past 1 p.m. Friday in sitio Pulangbato, Talamban, Cebu City.

Warlito Sukib was already unconscious when ERUF personnel took him to hospital.

His cousin Romeo Soriano, 29, and driver of the truck said they were travelling towards barangay Casili in Consolacion town when his helper who was eating corn on the cob on the top of truck fell to the ground when the truck went over a pothole.

Sukib fell head first.

PO2 Ritchie Gapo of Consolacion police said since none of the family members or relatives of Sukib filed a complaint against Soriano, he was ordered released.  (FREEMAN)
