Mandaue's "Horror Booth" opens on October 28

CEBU, Philippines - For the fifth year in a row, the Mandaue City government, in cooperation with the Kaabag Foundation and the Council for the Protection of the Children, will again showcase the "Horror Booth," which will open on October 28 and which will stretch until November 2.

With an entrance fee of P20, one can already have a scary experience seeing "aswang, draculas, zombies, white ladies, and tiyanaks appear from nowhere.

The cast is composed of members of Manpride, an organization of the city's third sex.

Naneth Cortes Bowler, one of the organizers, said a lot of new and exciting experiences is in store for those who would visit the booths this year. Each booth is divided into three chambers and the cast members will be divided into two groups.

The proceeds of the show will go to the Christmas party for 600 indigents aged 7 to 12 years old, which will come from 27 barangays of the city.

Organizers this year also said children from the Muslim community in barangay Mantuyong will also join the party.

Aside from a Christmas party the children will also bring home some goodies which they could share with their families. (FREEMAN)
