Man arrested for possession of "fake" gun

CEBU, Philippines - A 25-year-old man who brandished a gun and terrified passers-by was arrested by the police yesterday morning in barangay Lawaan, Talisay City. The gun turned out to be a replica of a 9mm caliber pistol.

Alvin Cabigas, of Lawaan, was arrested by SPO2 Raul Bacayo, PO3 Jude Enemecio, PO2 Achilles Cabando, and PO2 Antonio Asoy after being informed by witnesses.

The witnesses said they were on their way home from a wake when they saw Cabigas wielding a gun.

They said the man pointed the gun at them like he was ready to shoot, prompting them to dash for cover. - THE FREEMAN
