Village officials help town monitor construction of buildings

CEBU, Philippines - Barangay officials in Consolacion town will assist the municipal government in monitoring construction of commercial buildings and industrial establishments to make sure owners have building permits.

Barangay Poblacion Occidental captain Marilou Casul, president of the Association of Barangay Councils (ABC), made the assurance during the regular session of the municipal council.

Casul told the municipal council barangay captains and other officials are closely monitoring construction of buildings.

She made the assurance in response to the resolution introduced by Councilor Nilo Ferraren requesting all barangay officials to assist the Municipal Engineering Office in running after violators.
