2 "barkers" arrested

CEBU, Philippines - Two jeepney barkers were arrested as the Traffic Enforcement and Management (TEAM) intensifies the campaign against illegal dispatching.

Efren Mendez, 31, single, of barangay Basak and Dexter Verdida, 25, single, of barangay Canduman were arrested Tuesday evening at G. P. Rizal Street in barangay Basak, Mandaue City while in the act of collecting money from jeepney drivers.

Both men were turned over to the Basak police station for detention pending the filing of charges. - THE FREEMAN
