Cortes marks Eid-Al Fitr in barangay Mantuyong

CEBU, Philippines - Mandaue City Mayor Jonas yesterday morning encouraged the Muslim community in the city to continue nurturing cooperation and unity.

Before heading to city hall to attend yesterday's charter day program, Cortes went to barangay Mantuyong to celebrate Eid-Al Fitr, or end of Ramadan with local Muslims, as has been his custom since he assumed office.

The mayor said although the Muslim community in barangay Mantuyong has not given him much of a headache, he would work with its barangay officials to intensify the barangay Intelligence network.
