Woman stabbed

CEBU, Philippines - A store owner was stabbed while tending her store in sitio Soong, barangay Mactan Sunday evening.

SPO1Manolito Abellanosa said Cristina Igoy last Sunday evening was busy attending to her customers when neighbor Arnel Aying, for no apparent reason, stabbed her, hitting her on the chest.

She was immediately taken to the Mactan Doctors' Hospital while Aying casually walked away.

Police have not determined the reason for the attack.

In another development, shell craft worker Chiquito Regala, 20, sustained a gunshot wound on the right side of his body when a man shot him several times.

Police are stumped as to why Regala, who is now being treated at the Mactan Doctors' Hospital, was shot. -
