Woman arrested for smoking marijuana

CEBU, Philippines - An 18-year-old woman was caught in the act of smoking marijuana in sitio Sudlon in barangay Maguikay in Mandaue City last Tuesday evening. 

Jorielie Esparcia, 18, was outside her home with some friends when SPO1 Genaro Lambayan and some barangay tanods saw her smoking marijuana.

The police took a half-smoked stick of marijuana from her.

She is now detained at the Casuntingan police station while charges are being prepared against her. – THE FREEMAN
