SP lauds top cop

CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City council has lauded acting Talisay City Police chief Eddie Recamara for the arrest of the alleged killer of PO1 William Mangubat last month.

The council, through presiding officer and vice mayor Alan Bucao, handed to SPO1 Margeniete Yosores, head of the Talisay City Police Station's women's desk, last Tuesday during their session the framed resolution commending Recamara and his team for the arrest of Noel Simbajon.

Simbajon was one of three suspects in the murder of Mangubat last March.

Earlier, Fernandez also commended the city police for locating Simbajon, who was arrested by Recamara's team in Tangub City Misamis Occidental, where he remained in hiding since March.

The council had also set aside a P100,000 bounty to whoever could give vital information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
