Talisay SP okays P16M supplemental budget
CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City council during its regular session Tuesday approved a P16 million supplemental budget.
The P16,250,068 appropriation, according to the recently approved budget ordinance, will be taken from the city's internal revenue allotment (P11,438,196) and "other income" under "reversion of current appropriation" amounting to P4,811,872.
The biggest appropriation of P7.5 million went to "maintenance and other operating expenses."
The two "donations" got the biggest chunk under this item with P2.6 million allocated for 2010 while P1 million for the current fiscal year.
"Electricity expenses" also under the maintenance and other operating expenses got P3 million.
Meanwhile, the "Capital outlay" item was allotted P1.6 million which is shared by "motor vehicle" which got P600,000 and "other public infrastructure" for P1 million.
The budget ordinance was approved unanimously by the council on motion of Councilor Rodi Cabigas, chairman on council committee on Appropriation and Budget. (FREEMAN)
