Barangay tanod shot dead

CEBU, Philippines - A barangay tanod while on his way home on foot was shot dead Sunday evening by one of two men on a motorcycle along A. Del Rosario Street in barangay Guizo, Mandaue City.

Rudy Seno, 64, a resident of the place, sustained a gunshot wound below the right armpit. Witnesses said the motorcycle bore plate number YZA- 321.

Seno died minutes later after arriving at the Mandaue City Hospital.

Homicide Section chief P/Insp. Ramil Morpos said the police are looking at two angles.

Morpos said Seno is one of the witnesses in a case which the police have filed two years ago against men allegedly involved in the robbery of an LBC Courier Service outlet.

He said a land dispute involving his family would also be investigated. (FREEMAN)
