Two fall in Opao drug bust

CEBU, Philippines - Two suspects were arrested while another one was able to elude arrest when police operatives conducted a buy-bust operation Friday night in Sitio Kalipay, Barangay Opao, Mandaue City.

Opao Police Station personnel conducted an operation against Arnold "Anot" Biolon after receiving information that he is engaged in selling illegal drugs.

However, when a police decoy handed a P100 mark money against him in exchange of a small pack of shabu, Arnold's younger brother, Arnel, sensed that it was a police operation and shouted at his older brother not to give the illegal drugs to the police decoy. So instead of giving the illegal drugs to the decoy, the suspect suddenly ran towards the kitchen and escaped.

Police then gathered the bystanders in the area and held them for questioning, together with Arnel and Bryan Pantuan.

During a frisk, police recovered a small pack of believed to be shabu from Arnel while tin foils and other drug paraphernalia were confiscated from Pantuan.

Both suspects were then brought for detention to Opao Police Station, pending the filing of illegal drug charges against them.
