Job fair in Liloan today

CEBU, Philippines - The Municipal Government of Liloan in coordination with a television station based in Mandaue City will conduct a one-day "Halad sa Kapamilya, Local and Overseas Job Fair" today.

Liloan municipal Mayor Vincent Franco "Duke" Frasco will welcome visitors and representatives of the different national government agencies and companies that are hiring job applicants.

Representatives of ABS-CBN DYAB will also attend the whole day affair.

A one-stop shop will be put up that will involve the National Bureau of Investigation, Social Security System, Philhealth, Pag-ibig, and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

A techno demonstration will also be conducted by the representatives from Cebu Technological University to give tips in making squash-mango float, squash puto cheese, meat loaf, beef tapa, skinless longanisa among others.

Technical Education Skills and Development Administration representatives will also provide tips on how to operate a piggery.

The Bantay Bata 163/ABS CBN DYAB with day care workers in Liloan will also offer free food and games to children.

The other agencies that promised to send people to today's activity include DOLE, OWWA, POEA, and the Comelec.

The one-day affair will be held at the Panphil Frasco Memorial Gym and Liloan National High School.

Adela Reuyan, Liloan Employment Assistance of the Public Employment Services Office said a number of town residents are now employed in different companies inside the Mactan Export Processing and other places. (FREEMAN)
