CEBU, Philippines - A store at barangay Poblacion, Ward 4, Minglanilla town, which sells roasted chicken, lost P11,500 to robbers Sunday evening.
Three unidentified men, one of them armed with an ice pick, robbed Sr. Pedro Litson Manok.
The armed one grabbed Marley Beyoy, 20, a resident of barangay Lipata, and held the ice pick against his neck, and told him to keep quiet.
The two other men scraped up the cash in the drawer.
Meanwhile, last week, a sari-sari store owner and an Asia Brewery saleswoman lost cash and valuables to two unidentified men on a motorcycle in barangay Lipata, Minglanilla.
Raffy Flotena, 34, lost P26,000 and a cellular phone while Maricreis Alfecre, 34, of Badian lost a wristwatch and some important documents.
Police said Flotena was about to hand in the money to Alfecre as payment of her order when two armed masked men on a motorcycle arrived and demanded money and valuables. (FREEMAN)
