Two men yield nubain, syringe
CEBU, Philippines - Two men, who were arrested at a checkpoint in barangay Tawason, Mandaue City for driving without licenses, yielded an ampule of nubain and a syringe.
IDMB chief P/Insp. Ramil Morpos identified the men as Ivan Yap, 20, of sitio Sta. Cruz in barangay Jagobiao, Mandaue City and Genyl Valencia, 37, married, of sitio Lourdes, who also lives in barangay Jagobiao.
Morpos said the two men drove different motorcycles.
When frisked, Valencia, who's father is a barangay councilor, yielded a partly consumed ampule of nubain. A syringe was seized from Yap.
Yap admitted that both of them had just come from a place in Tawason where they injected nubain.
Police also found out that Valencia has a record for snatching and is on bail for an attempted murder case.
