Jail gang member, cohort arrested for selling shabu

CEBU, Philippines - A member of the gang Batang Cebu 45 and an alleged cohort were arrested during a buy-bust operation Monday evening near the entrance of the Gentle Breeze Subdivision in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

The City Anti-illegal Drugs Operation Task Force arrested gang member Darwin Gonazales, of legal age, residing in barangay Pasil, Cebu City and companion Rey Belacho, of legal age, and residing in Galaxy compound in barangay Maguikay.

CAIDSOFT chief P/Insp. Henry Bancoleta said the two men were arrested with the help of an informant who said the two men were selling illegal drugs in the area.

Police seized shabu and the marked money used by the poseur buyer.

The two men were taken to the MCPO for further questioning and background checking.

Police said Gonzales had done time in the past for a robbery case in Cebu City and is a member of the BC 45, a gang that still prevails inside the Cebu City Jail. – (FREEMAN)
