Teenager shot by friend

CEBU, Philippines - A 19-year-old man is now in critical condition after he was shot by his own friend during a heated argument inside a billiard hall in Barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City Thursday evening.

Jerson Enaclito, single, sustained a single gunshot wound to the head after he was shot once by Raul Pinote, legal age, of Sitio Paradise, Barangay Pajac.

Based in the initial investigation conducted by the Homicide Section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, the victim was seen together with some friends playing billiard at around 7 a.m.

However, a drunk Pinote allegedly arrived at the billiard hall and started distracting while they were allegedly playing. This resulted in a heated altercation between the two.

But while at the height of their argument, Pinote allegedly dragged the victim outside the billiard hall and shot him once to the head and hurriedly left the place.

The victim was rushed to Mactan Doctor's Hospital but was later transfer to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City for further medication.

A follow-up operation is now being conducted by the police for the possible arrest of the suspect. (FREEMAN)
