Two brothers hurt in ambush
CEBU, Philippines - Two unidentified men shot and wounded two brothers who are engaged in the scrap iron business Sunday evening in barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City.
The police identified the victims as Aldrin Albarico, 25, and brother Raymund, 23, who both are single and residents of sitio Hollowblock, barangay Lagtang of the same city.
SPO1 Oliver Dacua, desk officer of Talisay City Police Station, said the victims were on board their vehicle when in Fairview Village, Lawaan II, two unidentified men started raining bullets on them.
Aldrin was hit in the neck while Raymund sustained three gunshot wounds in his left leg.
The brothers were rushed to the Talisay District Hospital in barangay San Isidro but were moved to the government-run Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
The gunmen are still at large.
Authorities have yet to determine the motive of the crime.
