CEBU, Philippines - A man and a woman were shot Friday in Lapu-Lapu City.
Neborah Senerpida, 29, married, a resident of sitio Soong 2 in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City sustained a single gunshot wound on the left portion of her face while traveling on a motorcycle with her husband and daughter. She was taken to hospital.
Based in the investigation conducted by the Homicide Section of the Lapu-Lapu City Police (LLCPO), the Senerpida family was on their way to sitio Soong 1 when met by the three unidentified men who were also on a motorcycle.
While the Senerpida family parking the motorcycle near a basketball court in sitio Soong 1, one of the men drew a gun and shot the woman in the face and left immediately.
The police are yet to establish the real motive behind the shooting.
Meanwhile, at around 8:30 on the same day, a man was shot by another man allegedly because of a personal grudge.
Edward Cabanada, 25, jobless, and a resident of sitio Abuno in barangay Pajac was shot after emerging from the house of his live-in partner in sitio Soong, barangay Mactan.
His alleged assailant was identified as Wilbern Dihayco.
Cabanada sustained a shot on the right chest and another on the right armpit.
He is in critical condition at a hospital in Cebu City.
Police said it was personal grudge that triggered the shooting.
Last year, Cabanada was beaten and stabbed allegedly by Dihayco's group, the police said.
