Motorcycle used in bakeshop rob found
CEBU, Philippines - A motorcycle reportedly used by robbery suspects who pulled out a heist at a bakeshop in barangay Lagtang, Talisay City, was recovered yesterday dawn at the back of the house of one of the suspects in barangay Jaclupan.
PO2 Leanro Azarcon of Talisay City Police Station's theft and robbery section identified the suspects as certain "Jason" and "Kulas," both of whom are residents of barangay Jaclupan.
Based on the police report, the heist happened at 11:30a.m. of Thursday in Arbees bakeshop in barangay Lagtang. The suspects took about P9, 213 from store collector May Charity Pardo, 20, of Santo Niño Village, barangay Banilad, Cebu City.
They also took with them the cellphone and P600 of Marcial Dungog, 30, driver of Arbees.
According to the victims, they were standing at the bakeshop's entrance when one of the suspects pointed a gun at them and took their valuables.
Shortly after the commission of the crime, they left the scene aboard a motorcycle.
Azarcon said they recovered the getaway vehicle at the back of Jason's house covered with dried coconut leaves while they were doing a follow up operation on the incident.
The motorcycle was already cannibalized and the plate number already gone.
Azarcon said they received reports that Jason was just recently released from the Talisay City jail, but that information has yet to be verified.
As of press time, the police are still hunting the suspects. — (FREEMAN)
