Talisay SP ratifies appointments of seven consultants

CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City council ratified the appointments of seven consultants of Mayor Socrates Fernandez.

In its session last Tuesday morning, the council has allowed the renewal of the contracts of former councilors Sabeniano T. Abatayo and Aaron Capala, who now sit as consultants on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Program and Senior Citizen and Barangay Affairs, respectively.

The council also approved the contracts of Edwin L. Nierves for Ecological Solid Waste Management Collection and Transport, lawyer Edwin A. Antepuesto for Human Resource and Personnel Actions, related to Local School Board Concerns, Walter Selma for Generation of Investments, lawyer Delon Richel Ramon B. Urot for Legislative Matters and Codification Projects of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and Martin Gerald J. Adlawan for Sports Development Program.

All these ratifications were in seven separate motions, authored by Councilor Rodi Cabigas being chairman committee on appropriation, budget, management, ways and means.

The approval of these contracts was in compliance with the approved resolution of the Bids and Awards committee, as also entered into between the consultants and Fernandez.

City administrator Richel Bacaltos said a consultant gets a monthly honorarium from P8,000-P15,000. - Liv G. Campo (THE FREEMAN)
