Luigi prods DPWH to hasten start of projects

CEBU, Philippines - Sixth district Rep. Gabriel Luis "Luigi" Quisumbing the other day urged the Department of Public Works and Highways district office in Cebu to hasten the implementation of projects bankrolled by his Priority Development Assistance Fund.

In a talk with The FREEMAN, Quisumbing said new measures have been adopted by the DPWH-Central Office for the implementation of projects as well as those regularly funded by congressmen.

Quisumbing said the Commission on Audit has also set up new measures for the monitoring of projects implemented in provinces, cities, municipalities, and barangays.

He said House Speaker Sonny Belmonte also wants the strict implementation of projects such as the repair of national roads. — (FREEMAN)
