Talisay SP to ratify appointments of seven consultants

CEBU, Philippines - The Talisay City council is set to ratify today the appointments of seven consultants of the office of the mayor.

As provided for in the approved city's Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) resolution, the council is expected to approve the six-month consultancy contracts of former Councilor Sabeniano T. Abatayo as a consultant on Disaster Risk Reduction And Management Program, former Councilor Aaron Capala as consultant on Senior Citizen And Barangay Affairs, Edwin L. Nierves for Ecological Solid Waste Management Collection and Transport, Atty. Edwin A. Antepuesto for Human Resource and Personnel Actions, related to Local School Board Concerns, Walter C. Selma for Generation of Investments, Atty. Delon Richel Ramon B. Urot for Legislative Matters and Codification Projects of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and Martin Gerald J. Adlawan for Sports Development Program.

All are appointed by Mayor Socrates Fernandez who has P8 million for his "confidential" and "intelligence" expenses at his disposal.
