Revamp at Mandaue City Police Office

CEBU, Philippines - A major revamp took place at the Mandaue City Police Office effective yesterday.

MCPO Director Sr./Supt Noel Gillamac said the revamp was meant to allow policemen in Mandaue City to advance their careers, practice their field of specialization, and familiarize other areas in the service.

Chief Insp. Elmer Fernandez, chief of Investigation and Detective Management Branch (IDMB), is now the new chief of the Centro police station. He will be replaced at IDMB by Chief Insp. Abraham Ocampo, the chief of Centro police station.

Senior Insp. Orlando Cariño, the former chief of the Canduman Police Station, is now the new Public Community Relations (PCR) officer. Replacing Cariño is Insp. Zosimo Jabas, then officer-in-charge of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special operation Task Group (CAIDSOTG). His deputy chief will be Insp.Antonio Servantes, the former deputy chief of the Basak Police Station.

Insp. Alexander Nuñez of the Subangdaku Police Station has been transferred to the Centro police station as deputy chief. Taking over his place is Insp. Hendrex Barqulita from the MCPO headquarters.

Senior Insp. Francisco Oriol from the mobile patrol has been assigned as the new chief of the Subangdaku Police Station while Insp. Gerardo Fiel, the former deputy chief of Centro Police Station, will be his deputy chief.

Insp. Mark Barrios of the Canduman Police Station has been transferred to the Intelligence Branch as deputy chief while Insp. Ariston Bataluna from the MCPO headquarters has been transferred to the Canduman police station as deputy chief. - Flor Z. Perolina/JMO (THE FREEMAN)
