Man arrested for "molesting" stepdaughter

CEBU, Philippines - A 54 year old father is now languishing in jail for allegedly molesting the daughter of his live-in partner.

Police arrested Thursday Jimmy Petiluna inside the house where the family lives in Purok7 in barangay Cubacub, Mandaue City after his stepdaughter, accompanied by her mother, filed a complaint against him in the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO).

Petiluna denied molesting her stepdaughter.

The alleged victim told her mother she was first molested Monday evening while inside the family car with Petiluna, police said.

She also alleged that Petiluna suddenly mashed her breast while his other hand touched her genitals saying, "Dugay nako nagkagusto nimo, dugay nako gusto motilaw nimo."

She said she wanted to resist but was over-powered by Petiluna.

The following day, Petiluna entered her room at around 4 a.m. and again sexually molested her, police said.

The victim, accompanied by her mother, was examined first at the Pink Room of the Don Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center before she formally filed a complaint Wednesday. (FREEMAN)
