Pullover

AN: One of my favorite girl-meets-boy looks is wearing an oversize sweater over a collared dress with a structured silhouette. A well-decked neck can add a playful accent to an otherwise minimalist look.

GERARD: Graphic prints come and go, and now it seems they’re making a comeback. A crew-neck sweater can go with pretty much anything; keeping the rest of the outfit plain helps this printed piece stand out.

Prints

AN: Mix masculine and feminine elements by wearing a sexy white camisole with a boyfriend shirt.

GERARD: Neutralize loud prints by layering it under another piece. This keeps details subtle, which is something I usually prefer.

White buttowndown

AN: A good friend from GQ introduced these slim tailored sweatpants. They’re so stylish now that people in the office don’t even notice they’re sweatpants. Also, men’s shirts can be loose sometimes so I always roll up the sleeves for a more relaxed look.

GERARD: Would’ve worn this like An, rolled-up sleeves and a dark pair of pants. Changed it up a bit with a jean jacket.

Suiit jacket

AN: If you don’t want to go as far as a full-on suit, wear the jacket with a pleated skirt or tailored shorts. I added a modish feminine twist to it by wearing mary janes, a breezy Breton shirt and tons of eyeliner.

GERARD: It’s always nice to dress down a suit jacket. Here I just paired it with a linen shirt, rolled-up washed jeans, and white sneakers for a casual look.

Rain jacket

AN: Men have limited clothing choices and that guy style is truly in the details. So now I look at shopping as a long-term investment. My retro tee, converse sneakers and wear cut-off shorts have been with me since high school and I can these timeless pieces in any outfit — tomboy or not.

GERARD: I always keep one in the car for emergencies and toss it over a sweater and a pair of pants like this for colder days, and over shorts and a T-shirt in case I didn’t get the weather memo.

Cardigan

AN: Swap your stilettos for double monks or brogues. Men’s shoes always look good when paired with the right items. These monks are a great alternative when you want to be chic and comfortable.

GERARD: Kept it simple and classic in this outfit, tossing the cardigan over a candy striped oxford shirt and a pair of midnight blue trousers. Like An, I completed the ensemble with a pair of single monk straps which we actually got from the same place.

Sports jacket

AN: Soften a masculine statement piece like this “daddy jacket” and add a romantic twist to it by pairing it with a nude skirt and school girl socks.

GERARD: Probably my favorite look, I dress like this on most days — just a T-shirt, washed jeans, sneakers, and a weatherproof jacket to top it all off.
