MANILA, Philippines - It was a family affair at the Glorietta Activity Center along Palm Drive last Saturday as Ayala Malls’ Style Origin held one of its most vibrant shows to date. Both young and old received the perfect dose of entertainment as dancers, athletes, TV personalities and beauty queens made their way down the runway clad in the latest fashion finds from some of the top brands in the country. Venus Raj, Cheska Garcia-Kramer and Anton del Rosario were some of the big names that graced the runway, giving everyone — from the kids to the grown-ups — something to be excited about.
Despite the excitement that surrounded the celebrity sightings, the models that got the loudest cheers from the audience were the kids from neighboring villages in Makati, strutted their stuff in brands such as Kids of Bayo, The Ramp Crossings, Zara, Big and Small, Chicco, Gingersnaps, Mayoral and Just G. Proud parents were eager to snap photos as their children confidently walked down the runway, not forgetting to strike a pose when they reached the end. The Style Origin series continues to inspire imagination in the hearts of many — this time by celebrating fashion for all ages.
Chevron Chic
Unconventional chevron prints were seen all over the runway telling us that this summer is all about making bold and daring choices.
Ode to Ombre
The reign of the ombre trend is far from over. This time, it’s making appearances in brighter color palettes and light fabrics.
Going Green
There’s something about this minty shade of green that instantly grabs your attention. It’s the perfect tone to complement your basics like black, white and nude.
Flowy Fabrics
The easiness of flowy fabrics in loose silhouettes makes it the perfect choice for a hot summer day in the city.
Color Blocking
