Master these and your possibilities are endless.

Draping 1 by Jojie Lloren

Think that there’s more to designing than a pen and paper? Draping is another form of pattern making, using fabric instead of paper to create a pattern set consisting of the front and back bodice slopers, front and back skirt slopers and the basic sleeve. It’s another core foundation to good clothing construction.

Draping 2 by Roy Gonzales

Take draping to another level. Students are guided to use their intuition with techniques such as twisting, pleating, folding, gathering and layering fabric on a dummy. They will also learn how to drape according to specific measurements, with an emphasis on achieving a good fit.

“Knitwear (has a potential) that hasn’t been fully tapped,” Lulu says. The course introduces students to knitwear construction and gives them the opportunity to create their own fabrics and design using a knit loom. “I think I’ve been doing it for too long,” Lulu, the country’s queen of knitwear says. “I’m ready to pass it on.”

“This workshop is designed to teach the student how to do a fashion sketch as an artistic rendering. The freehand movement when rendering a sketch is guided by proper visualization of how a fabric falls, how to show the design details and how mood is created within the sketch,” Robi says. “ The students are encouraged to express their own style of rendering and create their own mood and be effective at visually interpreting their ideas and designs onto paper.”
