New face forward

MANILA, Philippines - From Pops to Pop Princess, Unica Hija, retailer of specialty clothing for women, is launching a new phase and a new face. When once their billboard displayed sexily sanguine photos of a very womanly Pops Fernandez, the brand now espouses blossoming womanhood by launching Sarah Geronimo as its newest endorser. The petite crooner, who started out in the showbiz scene as a rather shy lass with a powerful voice, is now worlds and an entire wardrobe away now that she is coming of age. Says Ley Lacar, Unica Hija marketing officer, “Sarah’s transition to womanhood dovetailed perfectly with Unica Hija’s reinvention. It’s a well-timed and perfect marriage.”

The brand is introducing a new sense of purpose in their 15-year tradition with younger styles, new mix-and-match silhouettes and “fractional designs that can segue seamlessly from frenzied power luncheons to more laid-back, after-hour cocktail.” Its stores have also undergone revamping, now displaying a more modern minimalist finish. By the looks of it, this new phase is well-deserved.
