Aqua sports were given a new meaning at the recent launch of Lago Del Rey, hosted by the gracious Gov. LRay Villafuerte. The event welcomed the advent of summer with a two-day First Aqua Fest featuring a celebrity challenge.
Lago del Rey is a giant man-made lake right across the road from the world renowned wakeboard cable lake of the CamSur Water Sports Complex (CWC) that offers the best water-based entertainment facilities in Asia.
The water arena offers facilities which you can expect will bring out the child in us. The affordable, wholesome family water entertainment includes giant water slides, aqua wall climbing, water polo, water volleyball, kayaking, aqua obstacle course, paddle surfing, boat-towed wakeboarding and skiing, dragon boating and, of course, pure and simple swimming.
The lake will also have a Kids’ Activity Center that will provide suitable water-oriented sports and entertainment for children.
With Lago del Rey and CWC in one location, these could definitely boost tourism arrivals in the province and certainly further enhance CamSur’s growing reputation as one of the best tourism destinations in the Philippines.
The ladies of Lago del Ray kept it simple, casual and cool, wearing dresses and jumpsuits made out of flowing and soft materials. White was the definite choice for the night giving off that cool and calm feeling. However, some opted to wear color adding just the right amount of punch to the sea of white. The ladies also wore a mix of locally made and foreign accessories.
