In celebration of love and all things glorious, Manila’s both top and up-and-coming couturiers have created elegant confections that stray from the usual froth and fluff. Think seashells strung daintily on silk or perhaps a studded belt to cinch the look.
The modern bride is more unique than ever and finding the perfect piece to reflect her personality need not be a heavy journey. Take Rhett Eala’s plain but stunning dress that denies fabric of any accouterments to Joel Escober’s dynamic disco bride looks to Cris Diaz’s romantic but slightly bitter sleight of hand. Patrice Diaz creates a breathy sight for the aisle. While Patty Eustaquio puts her thoughtful artistic temperament in to a fragile chiffon piece that is sure to surprise with artful details.
I decided to create a more dramatic story for this piece…drama. A Lynch-like setting for the brooding bride in waiting. Searching for Prince Charming can be a chore, so perhaps maybe just having the perfect dress and not the perfect guy will do for now.
On this note, congratulations to all holiday brides.
