A night with Joey

It was a rainy weekend and the weather was a bit dreary but as always the Manila party scene was a smash. I was at the Viva Las Vegas party hosted by 92.3 Joey FM. Checking in at the tent were high- rollers who headed for the game tables and slot machines while others took advantage of the schmoozing at the VIP section provided by Absinth. There were black jack and baccarat tables and viva Las Vegas showgirls from Club Mwah. Live band performances from the Group 604 were lead by the strong vocal talent of Ella May Saison while the funky band Toy Symphony brought the crowd to a feverish dance-induced utopia. The celebration was definitely a lot of flash and glitter, with an Elvis look-alike who sang Viva Las Vegas all night long.

What aspect of your life would you risk?

Everything in life is a risk. There are chances you take and mistakes you make and there are always lessons to learn. So I guess I’ll take a chance on love, because every dream fulfilled is worth the blood, sweat and tears.

Marco Borlongan

What is the riskiest thing you’ve ever done?

Getting re-married. I know the ins and outs of a good relationship. A great marriage means making a true commitment to a life-partner. Learning to understand and appreciate this second chance has been nothing short of thrilling.

Crash Bandicoot, since it is the only video game where I have a chance of beating them.
