TALK ABOUT RUBBING ME THE RIGHT WAY. Call me addicted but when it comes to massages I’m just your crazy nympho. Although giving an hour or two on a weekend for a massage may seem like a perfect treat, there are times during the middle of the work week when you just need an extra kick to get your circulation going. Whether it’s work-related stress, a wicked hangover or sleeping with a dinky pillow the night before, half hour rubs truly give you a new lease on life. Some of the best that I have tried is at Essenses. Unlike traditional backrubs, you put on a backless cape and choose from a plethora of oils (personal fave is peppermint). Ask for the maverick Allan who will undo your knots in the most inspired way. In a little corner in Gen Malvar St. cor Maria Orosa (near Hap Chang), Malate, a Korean massage parlor named Blue Moon proves to be a surprise hit! With cozy rooms equipped with chairs that you would find in the first-class section of Virgin Airlines (roomy and 45-degree reclining position) you are treated to a really different kind of massage. It may seem shady at first but trust me, it’s awesome. For 200 bucks you get treated to a wonderful and unique method. It’s perfect to accompany it with a foot massage if you have extra time! Spoiling yourself need not be a pricey feat, as the Johnson’s Baby Lotion ads say, "There’s nothing like touch therapy."

DELILAH CELLULOID CLASSIC
. Almodovar really knew how to tickle the funny bones and yet strike a nerve to delilahs everywhere with his classic Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. A story about a jilted hottie by her older cad of a lover over an answering machine. She then finds herself in the company of her lover’s son and psychotic wife and her twisted buddy who is running away from her terrorist lover. A stylish film that thoughtfully portrays the idiots we are and all the crap we get ourselves into. Being bad never looked this good!

BLOW YOUR PAYCHECK AWAY
. Well, not really, but you can at least celebrate the coming of the zeroes in your bank accounts with a cocktail or two. Big Fish is now holding a monthly payday event at the too chic to speak nosh and slosh joint TEAK, at Lopez Strip, Rockwell. NICE, as the promoters call it, will debut along with the CD release by Anton Ramos. This Friday, it’s never say die kids!

ALL THAT SPARKLES AIN’T JUST GLITTER
. Jacob’s Creek Chardonnay Pinot Blanc Sparkling can be your sparkly bubbly of choice this splendid party season. My personal favorite, introduced to me by fellow YStyler and restauranteur DJ Montano, the multi-awarded bubbly has a dry but sweet taste that pleases most palates. At P650 a bottle, it’s a deal compared to the 3k champagnes in the market. So if you choose to entertain in style, you don’t have to break the bank for some of those bubbly giggles. It’s also great for weddings or big parties.

ONCE YOU GO BLACK YOU NEVER GO BACK!
Join, join the finicky bastards of party season this Saturday at NUVO, Greenbelt for the Black 7 party navigated by PR and event wunderkind GP Reyes. Titled "Black Book," the literary celebrants of this booze-filled fete are YStyle’s very own Philip Cruz, Martin Valdes, and FHM’s Eric Ramos! Reason for the celebration? Because they are fabulous! Who needs a reason to party anyway, when there’s an abundance of scotch. Join, join, join kids!
