Kimmy Johnson: Fun-Riding Hipster

"I’m usually one of the boys that it keeps good prospects away," sighs Kimmy Johnson, with a matching sour look on her face. That shouldn’t be much of a problem, not unless all the men around her are ready to decapitate any onlooker who’d show interest in Kimmy’s model beauty. With a good string of commercials, most popular of which is a skin-care line powered by her most coveted Fil-Am mix, and a comfy junior slot in Benilde’s Marketing course—indeed, this girl needs high-class security. She’s a hot item worthy of a cult.

Standing tall at 5’6", Kimmy had learned to stoop a little. She makes good comfort company, pulling stunts and stories that solicit stomach cramps from too much laughing. That would be for a long while, either over coffee, window shopping, or in between pictorials. The fun doesn’t stop when she’s already alone, as long as there’s a nice TV set and a remote cum ‘microphone’…pulling off her VJ fantasies over a blaring MTV.

And she expects her guy to have a sense of humor too. "I want him funny, definitely. That’d be the perfect date for me, talking and talking until the next day. I want him sincere and honest. And of course, he has to put up with my craziness (laughs.)" But who would be crazier to let that one pass? In the whole disposable nature of dates nowadays, it is always worth trying out the girl who only has fun in mind—never bitching about the calorie content of her dinner or never nagging about not having the perfect crowd around, and most of all, never boring you to mental death.

What are the limitations you hold sacred on the first date?

Touching, petting, groping…anything that could lead him to something I don’t intend to give!

How do you make a fire exit to a dull date?

I’d just tell him that I’m not feeling well, just contracted a virus or something. If he doesn’t want to share my brewing cold, then he should let me go immediately! (Laughs)

What are the dating conversation-ables best left in the dark?

Past relationships. It usually destroys the moment. There you are, enjoying good conversation and all of a sudden you’re forced to share a sad mistake? That’s very awkward!

What do you think of guys who kiss on the first date?

They’re good…very smooth! I like that! They know what they want and they’re not afraid of getting it.

What makes a dating success?

When we admire the sunrise and are still talking by that time. And also, when both of us don’t want to go home yet.
