Ateneo Junior Marketing Association launches website

The Ateneo Junior Marketing Association (AJMA) recently launched its premier website, AJMAmachine.com.

Headed by creative director, Raymond Abrenica, AJMAmachine.com is on the cutting-edge of technology, successfully earning thousands of hits on its first week. Every month, relevant news profiles on officers, members, projects and upcoming events in the Ateneo community and beyond are available. Free downloadables like screensavers, ringing tones, wallpapers, POP3 e-mails are also ready for the Net-surfing AJMAn. With its target audience consisting of college students in and outside Ateneo, AJMAmachine.com provides effective exposure for companies to advertise through banner ads placed within the site. AJMAmachine.com boasts of exceptional styling and content that is typical of AJMA’s tradition of excellence in innovation.

AJMA is currently Ateneo’s most popular organization, getting the most number of applications yearly. The students of the Philippines’ premiere marketing guru, Josiah Go, started the Ateneo Junior Marketing Association in 1991. The challenge was to bring into focus the importance of marketing and apply what they have learned to better serve their community. AJMA didn’t fail. Starting from 60 Brand Management students, AJMA has grown to be the most course-diverse organization in the university with over 500 members. Part of AJMA’s vision is to give better training to students in the realm of marketing beyond the four corners of a classroom. AJMA has accomplished that by organizing the biggest and most innovative projects.

Besting 60 other schools for three consecutive years, AJMA was recognized by the Philippine Marketing Association as one of the Three Outstanding Student Marketing Association of the Philippines (TOSMA). AJMA is also the first and only business organization in the Ateneo to win the Dean’s Awards for Service and Excellence (VP’s Awards).

AJMA has a new roster of officers headed by Cecile Ang as president, Cindy Mabasa as VP, together with Ellen Ke, Gabby Posadas, Karen Ong, Renel Cecilio and Mark de Joya of the executive board, all corroborating to lead AJMA’s 11th year of being one step ahead.

AJMAmachine.com is sponsored by Smart, Epson, Jag and Young Star, the Friday Lifestyle section of the Philippine STAR.

Other projects this year include MercariOnline, the Philippine experience, Asia-Pacific Marketing Conference and livelihood projects. The institutional projects that have made their mark are constantly evolving and are back, spearheaded by the Ateneo Intercollegiate Marketing Seminar (AIMS), Convergence, Autoneo, CinemAJMA and the Shindig — Ateneo’s biggest and most anticipated party.
