And the Award Goes To…

It was the most star-studded event Asia has ever seen. And leave it to MTV to do the job. Singapore was literally invaded by stars from the most popular musical acts, celebrated new stars, to the most intriguing fashion designer in the world. Despite fashion faux pas and a script that really needed help, the first-ever MTV Asia Awards was, indeed, a raring success! With names like Enrique Iglesias, Zhang Ziyi, Westlife, Donatella Versace, Mandy Moore and Ronan Keating in the house, what more could a pop culture addict (who’s basically the entire youth populace anyway) ask for? Well, it wouldn’t have hurt if Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, The Backstreet Boys, Linkin Park and Bon Jovi were there, too.

It was the perfect venue to celebrate talent, praise the well-dressed, lambast the trying-hard, marvel at the mega production, and feel the unity of the Asian spirit (Oops, am I beginning to sound like a copy for an airline company?)

After months of voting, the ballots are in! And the winners are:
