Dambana ng Kagitingan
Erected at the top of Mount Samat, the Dambana ng Kagitingan or Shrine of Valor is a tribute to the heroic stand of Filipino and American forces against the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II. The 92-meter cross symbolizes the 92-day battle that occurred from January 7 to April 9, 1942. "Araw ng Kagitingan" is celebrated every April 9 in commemoration of the brave soldiers who fought for freedom.

Laki Beach
A 40-minute boat ride from Porto del Sol, Mariveles leads to one of the most beautiful beaches near Manila. Though not as fine as Boracay, the white sand of Laki Beach is "Instagrammable," providing a picture-perfect background for those OOTDs, selfies or groufies.
On the other side of Mariveles, meanwhile, lies Five Fingers, a group of coves that resembles a hand with its fingers splayed. Viewers of the hit HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones" might recognize the rock formation, which some visitors likened to Dragonstone, the castle and ancestral seat of the Targaryens.
