MANILA, Philippines – The Manor at Camp John Hay was recently awarded three prestigious hotel awards: the 2015 Outstanding LMC for Industrial Peace – Uncategorized Category, the WWF-Philippines Environmental Leadership Award and the ASEAN Green Hotel Award.
In the recently concluded 10th National Convention on Labor-Management Cooperation, The Dap-ayan ti John Hay, the name of the The Manor at Camp John Hay’s labor-management cooperation, was awarded the 2015 Outstanding LMC for Industrial Peace/ Uncategorized Category. The group garnered the same award back in 2011.
The Manor at Camp John Hay has been a World Wide Fund for Nature’s Industry Partner since 2014. During the WWF Partner’s Night 2015, the hotel was awarded the WWF-Philippines Environmental Leadership Award, given to partners whose conservation successes and milestones in WWF projects around the country have largely contributed to the cause of environmental advocates.
The ASEAN Secretariat, on the other hand, through the Tourism Quality Working Group, recently awarded The Manor at Camp John Hay as one of the ASEAN Green Hotel Awardees for 2016 to 2018. The aim of the ASEAN Green Hotel is to provide a certification process and a standard for professional green hotel operations such as viable environmental plans, green products, along with proper human resource and environmental management. The ASEAN Green Hotel Award now on its 7th year, will be given in a ceremony during the Philippine hosting of the ASEAN Tourism Forum in January 2016.
