6 LPU-Manila students off to Korea

MANILA, Philippines - Six students from the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) of the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU), Manila campus, recently left for Busan, South Korea as part of a trilateral agreement among Tongmyong University, Novotel Ambassador Hotel, and LPU.

They are international exchange students who will be taking up Tourism and Hospitality Management courses in the Korean university, after which they will be given the opportunity to work at the hotel, all within a one-year period.

The equivalent units they earn through their academic and employment stint in South Korea will be credited to the program they are enrolled in at LPU.

LPU is the only internationally accredited Tourism and Hospitality Management school in the country, and the almost 9,000 CITHM students at the Manila campus also make it the biggest Tourism and HRM school in the country.

Aside from these partners in South Korea and more than 500 deluxe local establishments included in its practicum program, the LPU-Manila campus also offers its CITHM students who may wish to train abroad, other international destinations such as the US mainland, New Zealand, Thailand, Guam, France, Japan, Malaysia, Spain, mainland China, Australia and Macau.
