Biggest Phl bands deliver one ‘Epic Summer’ to Resorts World

MANILA, Philippines - The country’s most prominent names in the alternative rock scene come together for a rare music spectacle at the country’s foremost one-stop, nonstop destination for ultimate entertainment, Resorts World Manila.

The pioneering lifestyle hub’s Epic Summer Sundown Sounds creates an anthology of multi-genre rock and pop acts to perform for guests without charge at the spacious Newport Mall Plaza starting April 15.

The RWM Sundown Sounds opened with the muses of the local alternative scene, Barbie Almalbis and Kitchie Nadal plus Reggae godfathers Tropical Depression on April 15, followed by Pupil and Urbandub the following day. Rocksteddy and Soul Republic will play on April 22, and Itchyworms plus Amistad on April 23.

April’s fourth week showcases more hot topic bands, including the infectious Sandwich and pop-fueled Moonstar 88 on April 26; classic Pinoy band The Dawn takes center stage with the folk/wave psychedelia of Join The Club on April 27; Spongecola and Save Me Hollywood on April 28; Up Dharma Down and Tanya Markova on April 29; and Franco and Indio I on April 30.

Other enticing promos and attractions complement Resorts World Manila’s Epic Summer, including the “Millionaire’s Month” promo with over P21 million in prizes held at the casino area, hotel promos from Resorts World Manila signature hotels Remington Hotel and Maxims Hotel, enticing dining offers including Filipino-themed resto Mercado’s P188 buffet and Cantonese fine dining restaurant Passion’s all-you-can-eat dimsum at P750.
