Globe joins Davao's Kadayawan 2011

MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom is one with Dabawenyos as they recently celebrated Mindanao’s biggest festival — the Kadayawan sa Davao 2011, a major tourist attraction that attracts hundreds of thousands of local and foreign visitors annually.

The festivities are highlighted with floral floats, street-dancing competitions and exhibits that showcase Davao City’s tourism products and services.

Aside from its support for the major festival events like the Indak Indak sa Kadalanan and Pamulak Kadayawan, Globe also treated Globe and TM subscribers to the TM Astigfest concert featuring Aegis at Damosa Park last Aug. 27.

“Globe is honored to partner with the city government and community of Davao City in celebrating Kadayawan, a festival of thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest. This festival is a showcase of Dabawenyo heritage and culture and we are proud that we able to be a part of it,” said Ramon Matriano, head of consumer sales of Globe.

“The festival honors Davao’s artistic, cultural and historical heritage, and we hope that this activity will further nurture the cultural spirit of the Dabawenyos,” Matriano added.

Globe also offered its subscribers lots of freebies and load and SIM discounts at various Globe booths in addition to the Globe SuperLahat20 and TM AstigComboAll, two innovative offers exclusive to Globe prepaid and TM subscribers in Davao that allow them to enjoy unlimited text messages, make calls, surf the Internet on their mobile phones, and send international text messages in one affordable package.
