MANILA, Philippines - The PATTS College of Aeronautics recently broke ground for its new hotel in Tagaytay City.
Aside from functioning as a premium destination for tourists and seminar participants, the hotel will also be a training facility for the college’s Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) students.
The 40-room Hotel Monticello will sit on 5,000 square meters in the southern summer capital best known for its majestic view of the Taal volcano and its refreshingly cool climate.
In anticipation of the Commission on Higher Education requiring academic institutions offering HRM programs to operate hotels, PATTS is expected to open Hotel Monticello by 2013.
While the college continues to offer the traditional courses that established its reputation such as Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering, BS Industrial Engineering, BS Aircraft Maintenance Technology, BS Air Transportation and BS Avionics Technology, Aircraft Technician, it has also added to its programs BS Airline Business Administration, BS Hotel and Restaurant Management and BS Tourism Management.
