MANILA, Philippines- Asiana Airlines (OZ), Korea’s multi-awarded national carrier, has announced expanded flights to the US. From five flights weekly to San Francisco and to Seattle every week, the airline now flies to these destinations daily from its hub in Incheon International Airport.
Asiana also deploys its newly redesigned B777, which features the OZ Quadra Smartium seating for Business Class in its San Francisco routes. Passengers will experience greater comfort and convenience through this unique zigzagged seating layout. OZ Quadra Smartium features full flat bed-type seats typically found only in First Class, as well as a dining table, cocktail table, storage area for shoes, PC power outlets and USB ports. It also allows the passenger to move more freely without disturbing other passengers.
Asiana Airlines has also announced the change in flight schedule for its Incheon-Chicago flights. Departure for Chicago will now be 11 a.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and arrival by 9:40 a.m. (local time). Departure for Incheon will now be at 12 a.m. with arrival the same day at 4 p.m.
The expanded flights are in anticipation of spring and summer travelers, as well as Asiana Airlines’ own initiative to make flight schedules more convenient.
The airline also recently entered into a new code-share partnership with Turkish Airlines, thus expanding its Turkish routes. Passengers are now able to travel to the capital Ankara, and other tourist destinations like Kayseri and Izmir. Passengers can even visit Kenya’s capital Nairobi by transiting in Istanbul and using Turkish Airlines code share flights.
Turkish Airlines passengers can use routes from Incheon to Busan, Fukuoka, Nagoya, and Sydney. By expanding code share flights, both airlines’ passengers are offered the most convenient travel experiences possible.
Asiana Airlines’ code share network has expanded to a total of 22 airlines, 17 nations, 235 routes and 2,087 weekly flights. The airline flies out of three points in the Philippines: Manila, Clark and Cebu.
