Here comes the sun

MANILA, Philippines - Summer days are here again! As early as now, families are exploring exciting destinations like the Golden Sunset Village Resort and Spa in Calatagan, Batangas.

Just a two-hour drive from Makati, Golden Sunset assures a fun-filled summer excursion for the whole family. Kids can frolic under the sun in Golden Sunset’s seven pools, which include kiddie pools, Olympic-size pools, water fountains and water slides. They can also ride bikes on winding trails around the resort, identify dozens of species at the Butterfly Farm, or have an interesting history lesson at the Outdoor Museum Gallery. Mom and grandma can have a relaxing massage and other beauty treatments at the Serendipity Spa; while Dad can go fishing at the pond, play a game of billiards, or get the brood together for a game of volleyball in the sanded court.

Weekends are a truly wonderful time for everyone as an ocean enchantment parade adds to the summer scene and gives a fun-filled splash of life in the ocean. Glittery fish, spangled squids, colorful crabs and mermaids (and mermen) tour the resort in a musical show.

Nighttime brings the whole family together for an irresistible jacuzzi dip, or a hearty singing session at the karaoke dens set in the middle of the glistening man-made lake, or a jam session with the band at the weekend concert on the Baywalk.

Spacious air-conditioned family rooms can house all of the family members, with provisions even for the househelp and driver. Two units of two-bedroom family suites are also now available for larger families of up to 15 people per suite. The spacious enclave has a living room, two toilets and baths, and multiple bed arrangements. Meanwhile, multi-purpose hall can serve family gatherings and large groups of up to 350 heads for birthday parties, baptisms, weddings and the like.

Golden Sunset has in its stead 75 rooms, which can accommodate 140 people, plus a dormitory, which can house 42 heads.  For inquiries, call the Manila booking office at 636-1687 or 634-3109 or e-mail info@travelprosph.com.
