MANILA, Philippines - The Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort & Spa has every reason to celebrate its first year of operations.
In that short span of time alone, the Imperial Palace has become a prime vacation spot in the country, with local and foreign guests trooping to this Cebu resort to relax and unwind.
The recent first anniversary celebration of the Imperial Palace kicked off with a grand fireworks display by its beachfront. This particular beachfront is part of the resort’s water attractions.
As the first themed waterpark in Cebu, the Imperial Palace is also known for its five kinds of swimming pools: the Adventure Pool, the Wave Rider, the Amazon River, Captain Hook’s Pool, and the beach pool. It also boasts of three kinds of water slides.
A dinner celebration was also held that same night at the Dubhe Ballroom. Imperial Palace officials from Cebu and Seoul and staff welcomed guests from the hotel industry, loyal clients, media, and other personalities.
Imperial Palace hotel manager Edgardo Tongco and general manager Richie Kang thanked their loyal guests and new clients for entrusting their vacation and events to the 557-room Imperial Palace, and for making the resort the newest byword among discriminating holiday-goers.
This is, after all, the same resort that is proud of its food and beverage outlets such as Cheonsan Chinese Restaurant, Familia Restaurant and its massive buffet, Maru Restaurant and its Korean offerings, Coral Seafood Restaurant by the sea, Delmar Lobby Lounge, and Café Amiga.
The anniversary event witnessed the symbolic toast and cake-cutting rites, and their version of Chefs On Parade wherein the resort’s chefs presented their signature dishes and creations to guests.
A fashion show featuring Cebu’s top designers was also featured, as well as SORI Seoul, an acclaimed multi-instrumental ensemble specially flown in from South Korea. Not to be outdone was local band On The Cover providing upbeat music for the enthusiastic crowd.
With the Imperial Palace Waterpark & Spa entering its second year, Tongco and Kang promise greater and more exciting facilities and amenities — additions that prove that the resort is here to stay and give guests a vacation they will always remember.
