MANILA, Philippines - MasterCard Worldwide has signed an agreement with Resorts World Sentosa, making MasterCard the “preferred card” at the world-class premier integrated resort.
The alliance will provide MasterCard with a portfolio of cardholder usage incentives, seasonal marketing programs, priceless experiences and merchant offers to enhance cardholder experiences with MasterCard.
“Resorts World Sentosa offers a wide range of exciting attractions and offerings, many of which are world’s firsts. With the exclusive privileges that we will be rolling out as part of this collaboration, MasterCard cardholders can look forward to varied unique and priceless experiences with us,” said Angela Lam, vice president for promotions and partnerships of Resorts World Sentosa.
“The agreement with Resorts World Sentosa has given us a strategic foothold in what is set to be one of the greatest draws in Singapore for tourists from across the region. According to the latest MasterCard survey, intra-regional travel continues to be popular, with 86 percent of consumers from the Asia-Pacific preferring to travel to destinations in the region. This strategic alliance allows MasterCard and Resorts World Sentosa to develop customized programs to enhance visitors’ travel experiences in Singapore,” said Ajay Bhalla, executive vice president for Southeast and South Asia of MasterCard Worldwide.
Travelers will be able to use their MasterCard to purchase exclusive destination packages at the resort, which will include specially priced accommodation, entrance tickets to attractions such as Southeast Asia’s first Universal Studios theme park, dining vouchers and customized holiday itineraries.
Cardholders can also look forward to customized priceless experiences, ranging from behind-the-scenes backstage tours to special invitations to events and concerts.
As part of the agreement, MasterCard will also be given access to hotel room nights within the resort, and admission tickets and express passes to Universal Studio Singapore for use in cardholder promotions.
