MARK SAN DIEGO, model: After I check in in a hotel, like most people I check my room thoroughly everything from the bed to the soap and shampoo, to the sheets and pillows.
CRICKETTE TANTOCO, woman of style: Shower, unpack, read the hotel guest services directory, go to the concierge to make a reservation for my favorite resto and if it is still daylight I hit the stores.
RICO HIZON, business news anchor, BBC World: I relax by turning on the TV and watching the news on BBC World so that I can keep myself updated with the latest developments in politics and business. Then I go through the papers and check out the arts and culture page to find out the latest art exhibits and concerts in town. After all that, I step out of the hotel and go straight to the art galleries and museums for some art education.
JOSEPHINE KNOX, socialite: I check the television system for two things If there are RAI (Italian), TVE (Spanish) and TV5 (French) channels. And if the remote control has a sleep function because I watch the news and set it on sleep mode for 30 minutes.
TOM EPPERSON, photographer and surfer: I am most likely to have a good jump on the bed, sort of like an animal marking his territory. I remember one time how my wife and daughter took turns make flying leaps on the bed and photographing it as well, sort of an Epperson tradition.
PATRICK ROSAS, stylist: Light my own scented candle to personalize the room then I open the window to see the view.
JOY BUENSALIDO, president and CEO, Buensalido and Associates: Whenever I enter a hotel room, the first thing I do is check the view from my window to get my bearings in the place. If its a good view, then I savor it for several minutes before I unpack and hang the clothes Ill be wearing during my stay. Then I always check the bed and bathroom amenities so that if it lacks anything I need, I can ask for it, like extra pillows and towels. Finally, if theres time before my main business or purpose of the trip, I take a walk around the hotel to find out exactly where we are.
ANTON RODRIGUEZ MENDOZA, interior designer: Actually before I check in I check out the gym and size up of the room. If both are OK, I check in.
