The power of one is whole. But the power of one plus one makes an even better combination. When you find “the one,” you’ll know it. Eyes will glisten, body language is palpable, and sparks will fly.
I felt that tingling sensation when I was backstage about to host the “Mega To Mega” event. It was fashion at the Mecca that Mega to Mega brought to the people. After all, we are all travelers looking for that perfect mix of fashion, function, and affordability. When we find that place of utopia, we find inner peace.
Mega Atrium was ground zero for the launch event. Fashionistas, bloggers, celebrities, and guests gathered around the center area to laud the partnership. Mega fashion editors came together to mount a show, with each one styling top models all clad in finds from top fashion stores in SM Megamall. Call it a Project Runway (or in this case Generation M) challenge if you want, but the editors all did a great job. There were Mega deputy editor Meryll Yan, creative director Suki Salvador, and new fashion editor Patrick Galang, fresh from London where he studied and worked in fashion and design. OneMega Group president and CEO Sari Yap also joined them onstage later for the obligatory toast of the new partnership. Cheers, ladies and gentlemen!
So ... Mega editors picking fashions from SM Megamall? Yes. The collections were outstanding. Accessorized, it even became more stellar. Kudos to the editors for doing a great job.
Now time to shop! The question is when is THE SALE? Mark your calendars, save those dates and keep that cash — in time for Oct 19, 20, and 21. A three-day sale so you can buy all you want. Oh, did anyone notice that Christmas is just around the corner? Maybe it’s time for us to make that list. But check it twice.
Like Mega to Mega, everything can be twice as fab.
