The lucky one

MANILA, Philippines - Last Saturday, the SM Arena was packed with more than 10,000 fans as Zac Efron made his appearance at Penshoppe’s Fan Conference. Screaming boys and girls welcomed the young actor, which got him teary-eyed as he stepped out on stage. Flashing his killer smile and wearing the black leather jacket featured on his billboard, Zac declared that he loves the Philippines. Of course, we love him, too.

The overwhelming response of the crowd made Zac say how much his Filipino fans mean to him; that his fans are the best things about his success, and that they don’t fail to put a smile on his face every time he sees them.

During Zac’s stay in the Philippines, he became glued to the country, and cemented a love affair with its people. But his relationship with the Philippines began earlier, when his dad would tell him stories about his frequent visits to the country, as Zac was then dating Vanessa Hudgens.

During the Penshoppe Fan Conference, Zac was interviewed about his first ever clothing endorsement with Penshoppe. He proudly said that he’d actually wear the clothes from the brand during his tapings and casual days. Zac was also asked about his three-day holiday in Misibis Bay, where he trekked the Mayon Volcano, rode an ATV in a four-hour off-road drive by the volcano, plus ate balut and drank San Miguel pale pilsen.

Zac Efron fell in love with the Philippines. He's already planning his next trip here.

When asked if Zac was already thinking about marriage, he pointed to the crowd and said that his wife might be Pinay, and that she might be somewhere in the audience. The sea of people gave a chorus howl with hopes they might be that lucky one.

After the interview, Zac answered some questions from lucky fans, and then made his final walk around the stage and waved his goodbye. The Hollywood star tells Supreme he already wants to do his next photo shoot with Penshoppe, and that he is already looking forward to his next visit to the Philippines.
