MANILA, Philippines - Anne Curtis-Smith put it best when she exclaimed, almost in tears, “Dreams do come true.” Hers just did, as she shed tears of joy during rehearsals for her Smart-Araneta Coliseum show. The colossal concert venue was filled to the rafters. Even VIPs had a hard time getting prime seats as tickets were sold out. Everybody’s Twitter timeline was flooded with No Other Concert updates.
Anne is living proof of what a “game changer” is. The first thing she said when she set foot on that stage was that she’s “not a singer.” Nor is she pretending to be one. So as her audience, we already knew what to expect. Aside from all the over-the-top staging, fabulous costumes, and sexually pumped choreography, the show had a lot of heart and self-deprecating humor. Anne shared her stage, allowed her guests to shine, and in doing so, shone even brighter.
